Symbol of Peace and Kindness, Dandelion in Pulkovo
St. Petersburg, June 9th. An unusual monument has been installed at the Pulkovo airport. It is a dandelion, which consists of palms and wide-open eyes.
The opening ceremony was held with the participation of St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko.
“This monument says that we are all children of the same planet, and only together, with kindness in our heart, will we be able to preserve our fragile peace,” Komsomolskaya Pravda-Petersburg quotes.
The monument is the creation of the sculptor Gregory Pototsky, who is the president of the International Academy of Kindness, whose similar sculptures are already installed in many countries around the world. The author says that his “Dandelion” symbolizes the world and it calls to sow good things in the world.
