Sculpture “Symbol of peace and kindness” Dandelion ” installed in Pulkovo
On Friday, June 9, the opening ceremony of the sculpture “Symbol of Peace and Kindness” Dandelion was held at the airport “Pulkovo”, press office of the city administration reported.
The Governor Georgy Poltavchenko greeted the participants of the ceremony. “This monument says that we are all children of one planet, and only together with kindness in our heart we will be able to preserve our fragile peace,” said Georgy Poltavchenko.
“Symbol of Peace and Kindness” is a project of the International Academy of Kindness. Similar monuments have already been installed in more than 30 countries. Now the project has moved to a new stage, and now the Symbol will be installed in 100 international airports around the world.
The image of a dandelion is in tune with the mission of the International Academy of Kindness – “to sow good on the Earth.” The “Dandelion” consists of palms and open eyes. Together they form the shape of a ball, symbolizing the planet Earth. Widespread eyes inside the palm speak of sincerity and purity of intention.
The author of the project – sculptor, and President of the International Academy of Kindness Gregory Pototsky and businessman and public figure Arkady Pekarevsky thanked the Governor and General Director of the managing company of the Pulkovo airport for supporting the project implementation. Georgy Poltavchenko congratulated the citizens of St. Petersburg and guests of the city on the upcoming holiday – the Day of Russia.
